Frosinone is a city located near the Italian capital, whose tourism is not just a reflection, but a destination, because it has nothing to envy to Rome. Given the geographical proximity between the two locations, it is logical to think that the first urban nucleus was built in Roman times and, in fact, still today the remains of a graceful Roman amphitheater can be observed and, since 2007, they have been brought back to the ancient splendor also the Roman baths, for which the locality was very famous in the past.
The position of the city, at the foot of lush hills and near natural parks, make Frosinone an ideal destination for family holidays or for the rediscovery of nature. Then there are the classic attractions typical of Italian towns: a pedestrianized historic center, numerous churches, the Government Palace – now the town hall – and fountains.
The most modern part of the city, whose symbol is the Edera skyscraper, is well integrated with the surrounding landscape.
There is no payment of a ticket to enter the city, but tourist buses can park only in special areas, designated by the municipality.
